In Episode 576 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” it’s my pleasure to share with you for the second time an outstanding Paleo nutritional health expert named Nell Stephenson. I first interviewed Nell in Episode 399 sharing about what she is doing for the Paleo community in September 2010. Since that time she’s been very busy working on spreading the message to a much wider audience by rebranding the Paleo message that many like to hearken back to Paleolithic times and give it a modern-day makeover.

After collaborating with Professor Loren Cordain and Lorrie Cordain on The Paleo Diet Cookbook: More than 150 recipes for Paleo Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners, Snacks, and Beverages in 2011, Nell is back in 2012 with a fabulous new book of her own imploring her philosophy of living Paleo in a modern world entitled Paleoista: Gain Energy, Get Lean, and Feel Fabulous With the Diet You Were Born to Eat. Nell says that far too many people, women especially, can be turned off by the whole “caveman” aspect of the Paleo diet. While she says that approach is perfectly fine as a way to attract some people (mostly men) to the lifestyle, she has a different take on Paleo that is more suited to modern-day living. That’s why she created this fun new term Paleoista to mash together Paleo and fashionista in a different twist on eating this way. Listen in as Nell shares about how to respect the traditional diet of our ancestors while living in the 21st Century!

Listen to Nell Stephenson share about how to become a “Paleoista”:
